Lucy Stanton organized for Peace and Women’s Suffrage

Artist Lucy Stanton’s (1875 – 1931) miniature portrait of Chloe, the women who raised her. Chloe was born into slavery. Lucy Stanton was the women’s suffrage
activist mentioned above and one of Athens’ most progressive white women.
